Dr.
Michael M. Ohadi, Director and
Professor of Mechanical Engineering, has close to 20 years of industrial and
academic experience in the areas of heat transfer, fluid flow, thermal energy
conversion, and electrohydrodynamics. Since 1985, his research has focused on
active and hybrid augmentation of single-phase and phase-change heat transfer
His current funded research includes projects on air-side heat transfer
enhancement, external and in-tube boiling and condensation, melting and
freezing, and study of thermal/fluid characteristics of alternative refrigerants
such as CO2 and ammonia.
