Jianlin Wu is a doctoral student of Mechanicial Engineering Department, UMD. He is currently working on project of EHD Condenser Technology Demonstrator Unit (TDU). This project focus on the optimum design of TDU to be set up in laboratory. Condensors, with this technology applied to, are believed to have great ehnancement in heat transfer performance. The effect of heat flux and voltage on the heat transfer enhancement and EHD input poweer was studied, and compared with previous configurations. A software named FEMLAB is used to help understanding the electric field and designing the EHD Condenser TDU.
